Elasty — The Movie Toolbox App Reviews

4 Customer Reviews:

Stabilization works well. Havent tried the other features, but it took a jumpy video shot from an airplane in heavy turbulence and made it semi-useful. Key is to start with a wide angle shot to allow the software to cope with the central image. You dont want the desired image to jump on and off the screen. If my next attempt works, this software will be a bargain.

if your video is interlaced you need to figure that out because no app can stabilize that well. Once you have deinterlaced, this app has taken everything including the "too shaky footage and made it workable… I have seen no other app do that and I use fcp x, iMovie, n rd party stuff. Cheers brothers.

This stabilizer is fantastic but frustrating. Since it works so well, I’ll keep the 5 star rating but it badly needs to retain the settings from the previous run or at least have a little configuration file to allow the user to specify the location of processed files only once, not for every file. Also it defaults to “average” quality so if one is stabilizing 15 short clips, one gets to change both the export quality and location 15 times. Even a $5 app should have these features. But the output files are fantastic (or can be based on user experience). If you want a good stabilizer, this is it, but it could easily be made much better.
